Korean event showed how Ice climbing World cup should look like in the future!

Daone Ice Master is cancelled!

We have to inform all the athlets that due to the tragic accident that took life of our friend and organizer Dario Corradi, the competition in Daone is cancelled. We ask the athlets for understanding.

Commission meeting in Bern July 2010

Pavel Shabalin became the president of the Commission for Competition ice climbing. Commision's goal is to attend Sochi Olympic games as demonstration sport in 2014. To reach this goal, our sport must become more dynamic. As a consequence, the time for routes at lead will have to be shortened till 2014, so climbers will be forced to climb fast. Of course nobody likes it, but we would all like to become Olympic sport!

Ammendments to existing UIAA Regulations

Two attempts are allowed for qualification round at lead events and three at single route speed events!

It is only allowed to use hands on ice axes (no arms, elbows...)

On Saturday 11.12.2010, there was a drytooling competition in Brno Czech republic. They have built an amazing construction and hosted 22 men and 8 women from 3 different countries.
